Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Field Investigator position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Essential Qualification: Candidates must possess an M.E./M.Tech degree in one of the following specializations:
    • Remote Sensing and GIS
    • Soil Water Conservation Engineering
    • Irrigation and Drainage Engineering
  • Desirable Qualification/Experience: While not mandatory, prior experience in the following areas will be advantageous during the selection process:
    • Experience in the delineation of watersheds or spring sheds.
    • Hands-on experience in using Remote Sensing and GIS software and techniques.
    • Experience in the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for springs.
  • Age Limit: The maximum age for applicants is 40 years as of the last date of application. Age relaxation for reserved categories will be as per the Government of Jammu and Kashmir rules.

Salary and Tenure

The selected Field Investigators will be offered a fixed monthly emolument of ₹30,000. It is important to note that this is a contractual position and does not guarantee permanent absorption into the university. The initial contract is for a period of 6 months, which may be extended based on project requirements and the candidate’s performance.
